The interior of Ramas has the typical charm of the lounge bars of grand hotels from the 1900s.
Tufted sofas, soft lighting, a piano for musical evenings, and a gallery of memorabilia on the walls that tell a glorious story, including relics such as the autograph of the golden curls of American cinema Shirley Temple, who was a guest at the Grand Hotel Fasano and inspired one of Rama Redzepi's signature cocktails.
During the warm season, the cocktail bar expands outdoors: a terrace overlooking the lake, period details such as Art Nouveau lamp holders, wooden furniture and floors, like the flybridge of a boat looking out towards the Venetian shore of the lake.
An atmosphere of slow rhythms and relaxation, ready to be guided through the pages of Rama's creations.
The bartender
Rama Redzepi
Bar manager at the Grand Hotel Fasano, he arrived in Italy at the age of just 13, falling in love with the country and embracing it wholeheartedly in the years that followed. It was in Veneto, while working in a kiosk by the sea, that he realized what his profession would be. It was from that kiosk that he began his travels around Europe. After working in a hotel bar in Frankfurt, he continued on to Spain, where he fell in love with gin and tonic, and then returned to Italy, where he became a bartender, thanks to the important work of his mentors Remo Pizzolitto and Samuele Ambrosi. Following adventures in Stockholm and Ischia, he arrived at the Grand Hotel Fasano, where he became bar manager at the age of just 29. Here, he began research that led him to win the A.I.B.E.S. regional competition for Friuli-Venezia Giulia for two consecutive years and to make Rama's Lounge Bar—formerly called Gin Lounge—one of the Best Hotel Cocktail Bars in the Gambero Rosso Guide to Italian Bars 2021 Edition. Two years later, the bar was included in the BlueBlazer guide and the bartender won the Lavazza Coffeetail Master 2023, while in 2024 Rama Redzepi won the Italian edition of the Graham's Port Blend Series Cocktail Competition.
